Toronto City Hall Wedding

Nadia and Karl | An intimate Toronto City Hall wedding

This may just be the most beautiful City Hall wedding I’ve seen to date. Nadia and Karl found me through Facebook and reached out. They wanted to structure their wedding day a bit different than most people, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to hear that. (If you haven’t already guessed, non-traditional weddings are my favourite…)

THE SIMPLICITY OF A TORONTO CITY HALL WEDDING

Nadia and Karl knew that a big traditional wedding was not what they wanted, so they decided to say their vows at City Hall. They chose to include their closest family and friends, but kept it nice and intimate. Before the ceremony, we wandered the streets of Toronto taking photos wherever we pleased. It was the most relaxed and laid back wedding morning I’ve witnessed to date.

One of the photos I took at their ceremony ended up winning a Photographers Keeping It Real Award. It placed third overall for the 2018 Spring Awards which celebrates true documentary-style wedding photography! Click here to see all the winners!

After their ceremony, they set off to Europe for a two week honeymoon. When they returned, they threw the party of the century at Boxcar Social Club on the Toronto harbour front. With a clear view of the CN Tower hovering over the venue, the night was truly magical. During their speech, they talked about how they had attended so many of their friends weddings in the past. They liked and disliked different things from all of those weddings, and decided to implement all of the ideas that they loved into their own.

  1. Ahh this is what urban elopement dreams are made of! I love how they didn’t shy away from going all out with their wedding attire! You did a wonderful job capturing city hall and Nathan Phillip’s Square and you worked that light like a champ!

  2. I seriously love a good urban city wedding. You absolutely captured the essence of the city and also the emotion of the day beautifully

  3. I’m obsessed with shooting in national parks and other outdoorsy adventurous places, but this gorgeous urban Toronto elopement makes me want to go shoot in the city! 🙂
