Sarah and Noah | An intimate small backyard wedding in British Columbia

Since I first photographed this wedding, I have been SO excited to share it with you! Sarah and I went to high school together and have known each other for years. When I first met Noah, I knew he was the perfect partner for her! Being able to capture their wedding day meant so much to me. And the fact that I already knew them both as a couple made it even more special.

Bride Walking Down The Aisle

The two decided to keep things intimate for their ceremony. And since they decided to have a small ceremony, they also chose to have a large party afterwards! It was the perfect balance.

The ceremony was held at a local hall, in the backyard. Since it was a beautiful day, they held the ceremony outdoors. And it fit the guest list perfectly. All of the guests were given a single white rose to hold, in memory of the family who had passed. It was incredibly emotional and made a huge impact.

Instead of a first look, they opted to see each other as Sarah walked down the aisle. Since they had a lot of friends who are musicians, one of them played the guitar as Sarah walked down the aisle. It was so beautiful, and words cannot describe the shivers I got from hearing it!

Once the ceremony concluded, the guests were invited to a nearby restaurant to enjoy dinner together. And upon finishing, everyone returned to the hall for a massive party!

As I mentioned, there were many friends and guests who are talented musicians. Sarah and Noah invited a few of them to perform during the evening, and form a band. At one point, Noah took the stage and serenaded Sarah with a song he wrote just for her! It was so emotional and beautiful. Afterwards, the party continued and everyone had such an amazing time. There were mosh pits and beer pong tournaments. Late night pizza and a polaroid guest book. It was one for the books!
