Katrina and Mark | A cozy outdoor Red Pine Camp wedding

red pine camp wedding

Katrina and Mark decided to have their wedding at a place that fit them so perfectly as a couple: Red Pine Camp. Since they both love the outdoors and have adopted an adventurous lifestyle together, it was the perfect venue location just outside of Ottawa.

Bride And Groom Last Kiss Ceremony

Katrina and Mark went to elementary school and high school together. They became friends in grade 9 and by the end of the year, they started dating. Since they ended up in two different cities for school, the distance was too much. After years of remaining friends, either luck or fate would have it that Mark got accepted into school in Toronto. And so the relationship rekindled and they have been inseparable ever since!

I’ll hand it over to Katrina to describe it in her own words because no one can say it better: “We went to New Zealand for my sister’s wedding. After the wedding, we decided to take a week or so for ourselves and tour the North Island together. We drove to many beautiful locations, but one night on the massive beach in Whangamata with not another person in sight, we started dancing on the sand under the starry sky. It was there that he dropped the knee.” And now here we are!

Having fun was the most important factor for Katrina and Mark on their wedding day. They wanted to have a stress-free, easy day surrounded by their family and friends. They kept their timeline plans simple and made space for a lot of amazing time with their guests. In terms of decor, the camp itself is a natural beauty, which made for gorgeous views along the lake and in the forest.
