Tyler and Derek | A stylish Palm Springs destination wedding in California

Last spring, I had the opportunity of joining Tyler and Derek in Palm Springs to photograph their destination wedding. And it was amazing!

Because Tyler and Derek’s family are so spread out across Canada, they decided to get married in Palm Springs. If all of their guests had to fly to the wedding anyway, why not fly to Palm Springs? And so they did. Destination weddings are the perfect way to combine a wedding with a vacation.

With the help of Artisan Events, Tyler and Derek planned the most stylish Californian wedding. And it was obviously beautiful too. First of all, their focus was on the details. The Christian Louboutin shoes. The Tiffany rings. Ahhh, the Ted Baker suits. The florals. Oh my goodness, the florals. And most noteworthy, the centrepieces were beautiful desert succulents, and they fit the surroundings so perfectly. Their wedding venue was the Galvan Estate, and it was the perfect combination of luxury and desert sanctuary. No detail went unnoticed.

The effort they put into making their wedding day perfect was really worth all of the long-distance planning and coordinating. And as a result, it was not only one of the best parties of the year, it was also one of the most stylish! Since these two are so stylish themselves, it really fit who they are as people.

Without further ado, scroll down to see all of the details for yourself. I dare you NOT to fall in love with this wedding (and these two)! If you’re planning to get married in Palm Springs and you are looking for a photographer, get in touch because I would love to join you!

I love these! Their matching suits are too good!! Getting married under the palm trees must be the best… or maybe I’m just biased cause it’s super cold out here in Portland ?
