real Ottawa weddings. real elopements. real love stories.
The secret ingredient in making magical wedding photos is connection, and it’s something I pride myself in creating with each of my couples.
Take a moment to read a little bit more about me, and if you think we could be friends, let’s connect!
Not only is Ottawa the city I was born in, but it’s also the city my business is based in. Because of this, I have a deep love for Ottawa. I know the city like the back of my hand. And I LOVE helping my couples plan their wedding days here.
Having photographed many weddings in the city, I have a ton of info to share. Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions I receive from couples. I’ve also linked some of my favourite resources at the bottom of the page. Hopefully this can be helpful to you! But feel free to get in touch if you have any other questions!
If you want to be legally married, then yes. Ask your officiant if you’ll need to get one yourself. But otherwise, you can apply for a Marriage License online. The licence costs $168.10. And it is valid for three months after its issue date. Click here to access it directly online. You can get them at Service Ontario offices.
Ottawa is not as strict as other cities in Canada (like Toronto). However, there are still areas that require permits. For example, the Experimental Farms, and some of the museums. The best thing to do is to ask your photographer about this. They can help you! You can also click here for a link to some of the city permits.
If you’re newly married and you want to change your last name, no worries! You can click here for all of that info. Just as a heads up, you’ll need to change your passport, health card, and driver’s licence. So be sure to start this whole process before (or after) your honeymoon to ensure you can travel!
If so, let me know! I’d love to be part of your experience. Reach out if you’re still looking for a photographer to capture this time of your life.
