Kristina and Tyler | An amazing Ottawa Event Centre wedding
I knew that I was going to be amazing friends with Kristina and Tyler right when I met them! It was immediate. Kristina and I both love planning. We clicked instantly (especially when I saw her wedding notebook)! Every detail was thought of. Everything was personalized to fit them perfectly as a couple. And I absolutely love that. We’ve also managed to stay connected since their wedding day. Since their wedding, I’ve seen them at other weddings too (and I always love when that happens)!
Overall, it was an incredible wedding day. From the time Kristina said YES to her dress with Randy Fenoli, all the way to their epic dance party. The wedding day was perfect!
The day started off with an interesting twist. Ottawa had been hit with multiple tornadoes the day before. Because of this, many areas and buildings were destroyed or damaged. There were a few timeline details that had to be changed, but overall, it was not significant. Almost every plan could remain the same, and we were so lucky!
Kristina and Tyler had a solid backup plan in place. This also helped everyone to stay calm and relaxed. I arrived early that morning. I first saw Kristina as she was sipping champagne with her girls. No one felt stressed! Everyone was getting excited for the big day. Starting your wedding morning like this really sets the tone for the rest of your wedding experience! And since this is one day you cannot re-do, it’s important to consider it early on.
The wedding day was so perfect! We had to adjust the plans to work around the tornado aftermath. However, it didn’t ruin anything: Kristina and Tyler couldn’t be happier. One of my favourite wedding moments of all time was seeing the look on Tyler’s face as he saw Kristina for the first time. He was overcome with emotion! It was truly inspiring and made everyone cry!
There was a nearby park that we found, so we used it as the location for family photos. Because family photos were important to Kristina and Tyler, we wanted a location that was convenient for their family to travel to. Since the park was within walking distance, it a perfect solution. One tip I have for couples who have a big family is to take all photos of children (and elderly family) first. If people have difficulty standing for long periods of time it’s ideal to take their photo first. This always helps to make the day go smoothly and keep everyone happy! And so they were. I am very proud to say that this wedding was featured on the website of Randy Fenoli (from Say Yes to the Dress). You can click below to see the feature and read more about Kristina’s experience finding her dream dress with Randy!
