real people. real destination weddings. real adventure.
The secret ingredient in making magical wedding photos is connection, and it’s something I pride myself in creating with each of my couples.
Take a moment to read a little bit more about me, and if you think we could be friends, let’s connect!
I have loved destination weddings from the very first time I photographed one! They hold a special place in my heart. In fact, I love them SO much that I decided to have one myself. Going through the process of planning a wedding in another country has taught me a lot. That, and having photographed couples in so many different countries. The information I’ve learned is invaluable! And so, I want to give some tips from what I’ve learned. Here are some things to keep in mind when planning your very own wedding abroad:
Where you choose to get married will forever be part of your story. So my advice? Make sure to choose a location that is meaningful for you. It’s also important to consider the amenities that the location has. Doing your research ahead of time is key! And why not make a trip out of it? There’s no better way to celebrate your engagement than by jetting off on an adventure to scout the perfect spot!
Considering your guests early on is important! Once you have a date and location, notify your guests as soon as possible. This helps them plan and save up for your wedding. If your guests are staying onsite at your venue, make sure all of the amenities they’ll need are in place. If they are staying in hotels, make sure to block rooms in advance. Click here for more info on booking hotel room blocks.
Selecting your wedding vendors is exciting! If you’re planning your wedding from another country, there are many ways you can find vendors. If you’re visiting the venue in advance, try to meet with potential vendors while you’re there. You can also get suggestions from local planners or your venue. And lastly, finding vendors through Google reviews and Instagram geo tags works too!
If so, let me know! I’d love to be part of your experience. Reach out if you’re still looking for a photographer to capture this time of your life.
