Carleton Place Elopement
Pascale and Ryan | A romantic Carleton Place elopement
Pascale and Ryan emailed me three weeks before their elopement. They were planning an intimate destination wedding. But because of Covid, their travel plans were cancelled. Instead of calling off their wedding or postponing, they decided to host a small elopement in their hometown! It was really important to Pascale to have her sister attend, so they planned their elopement in less than three weeks, based around when her sister was able to be there! It was very impressive to say the least.
When I first arrived in Carleton Place for their elopement, I was concerned. The weather forecast called for intense thunderstorms all day. And based on how hard it was raining, we weren’t sure if the weather would clear up.Â
Pascale and Ryan were brave enough to venture outdoors for some photos. Luckily, I always bring clear umbrellas with me to every wedding I photograph. So we were able to stay dry while taking pictures!

By the time we drove to City Hall for the ceremony, the rain was slowing down. And as soon as we arrived, the sun was just starting to come out! This was the perfect moment for it to happen. I truly believe it’s some sort of wedding magic.
The ceremony itself was unable to happen indoors, due to Covid restrictions. But we were still able to have a small gathering outdoors. Together with their closest friends and family, Pascale and Ryan had the most beautiful ceremony in the park next to City Hall!
Immediately after the ceremony and photos, we went to Riverside Park for family portraits and sunset photos. We ended the day by walking through town, taking photos. It was also the moment that a giant rainbow came out, and it was the most beautiful way to end a perfect Carleton Place elopement! Scroll down to see their day, and let me know what you think in the comments!
